After SS3: Grzyb holds ERC podium place despite puncture

Local ace Grzegorz Grzyb lost time to a puncture on the long Lubenia stage but remains in a podium positions on the FIA European Rally Championship’s Rally Rzeszow.

Grzyb, a four-time Slovakian champion and current Polish series leader, lost half a minute in the final part of the 24.44-kilometre stage after picking up the puncture, but he only falls from second to third place.
After being held up on the first stage of the day, Kajetan Kajetanowicz was 6.2s quicker than Bryan Bouffier on SS3, cutting the gap to the Frenchman to 3.2s.Despite a suspected boost problem on his Ford Fiesta R5, Jakub Brzeziński was fourth quickest in the stage and moves up to the same place overall, just 4.4s behind Grzyb. Filip Nivette lost 20s to an off in the middle of the stage, falling to seventh behind ERC2 leader Wojciech Chuchała and Tomasz Kasperczyk.

Tomasz Gryc has reclaimed the ERC3 lead away from Nikolay Gryazin, the ERC Junior driver complaining of overheating tyres on the long Lubenia stage.
